Osborne Burke

Osborne Burke has been involved in the fishing industry, in various capacities, for over 35 years. He has worked as a deckhand, captain, manager of fisheries organizations, a marine broker and currently, as the General Manager of Victoria Co-op Fisheries Limited. As Manager of Victoria Co-op Fisheries, Osborne oversees the seafood processing facility, the main administrative office, a fishing supply store, a trucking company, and a small seasonal restaurant. He is also solely responsible for all company sales and marketing. In addition to Osborne’s employment, he has been the President of the Nova Scotia Seafood Alliance for the past 3 years.

Osborne has been a community volunteer for over 20 years. He has been involved in the Federal Harbour Authority program since 1996. He has served as an elected representative of the Maritimes-Gulf Harbour Authority Advisory Committee (MGHAAC) since 1997. In addition to being the elected representative for the Eastern Nova Scotia area Osborne has served as the regional Chairperson of the Maritimes-Gulf HAAC. Since its inception in 2001, Osborne has served on the National Harbour Authority Advisory Committee (NHAAC).
