SESSION DESCRIPTION
To help you prepare for the 2023 berry growing season, Perennia’s Berry Specialist, Sonny Murray, is hosting the upcoming webinar ‘2023 Berry Primer.’ During this session, attendees will hear from four fantastic guest speakers on a variety of topics, including:
- Dustin Mclean, Horticulturist and Field Plant Pathologist – Anthracnose: do we have resistance or not?
- Matt Peill, Molecular Biologist – Intensity of aphid management effects virus spread
- Cheryl Trueman, Technical Lead, Potatoes & Specialty Crops – Fungicide Resistance Management: Guidance into Practice
Pesticide points and CCA points will be available for this session! The following NS Environment courses and points are available.
- Strawberry and Raspberry Virus transfer and aphid control is course T2277 and is worth 1.0 point in Pest Management
- Perennia Overview of the anthracnose disease and his results of the anthracnose survey is course T2278 – and is worth 1.0 point in Pest Management; and
- Review of the FRAC codes and how resistance occurs from repeated pesticide use is course T2279 and is worth 0.5 point in General Information and 0.5 point in Pest Management.
