This event is being held as part of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program. The goals of the program are to encourage on-farm sequestration of carbon and reduction in greenhouse gases through the implementation of improved nitrogen management, enhanced cover crop adoption, and the normalization of rotational grazing. Session Description:
Join Steve Kenyon of Greener Pastures Ranching (AB) and Perennia extension staff on morning pasture walks on Thursday August 4th (Pictou County). Steve is a well-known custom grazier from Alberta who has taught grazing management for several years and writes for various magazines on the topic. He grazes year-round using various strategies, including intensive rotational grazing and bale grazing. Steve has particularinterests in sustainability and innovation.
