Part of the Getting into the Weeds: Farming in a Tight Year webinar series, join Perennia’s Soil Specialist, Caitlin McCavour and Soil Scientist, Keith Reid, for the upcoming session Nutrient Efficiency – Good for the Bottom Line, Good for the Environment.

Session Description

Fertilizer is one of the biggest crop production expenses on most farms, but with proper management, we can maximize our return on that expense (and keep those nutrients on the farm). Keith will discuss where changing management will give the greatest benefit, which techniques are appropriate for which nutrients, and how to put this together in a practical, flexible system that can be applied on every farm.

Guest Speaker

Keith Reid, Retired Soil Scientist

Keith Reid is a retired soil scientist and is now a technical writer for the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program. His work is focused on keeping nutrients, particularly nitrogen and phosphorus, on the land so they can be used effectively and out of the water or the air where they can be pollutants.
