Speaker: Paul Hildebrand
Dr. Paul Hildebrand (Hildebrand Disease Management) is a plant pathologist who, upon his retirement as a researcher for AAFC in 2014, has worked as an affiliate plant pathologist with Perennia. He has conducted research on numerous plant diseases of horticultural and agronomic crops, and has worked hand-in-hand with industry throughout his career.

Description: In his session titled “Understanding the Infection Cycle on Your Farm: Targeting Effective Disease Management” Dr. Hildebrand will shed light on the infection cycle from spore production to infection to spore production and how interrupting that cycle ties into effective disease management. He will also discuss how disease progresses in a crop and how we can time management strategies most effectively.
