The Food Ventures Program complements other provincial food-based funding programs by supporting access to Perennia’s technical specialists’ knowledge, expertise and services for Nova Scotia agri-food and beverage businesses.

The overall objective is to support Nova Scotia businesses to increase sales.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be 19 years of age or older and legally able to enter into an agreement with Perennia
• Must be registered and active under Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stocks and/or be currently and properly registered in the correct income category under the Farm Registration Act
• Must have active operations in Nova Scotia including a Nova Scotia address registered to the business
• Applicants must produce, or have their products produced on their behalf, in Nova Scotia and be able to provide proof upon request
• Must currently have at least one commercially available product and be able to provide proof of current commercial sales upon request

If you have already completed work with Perennia in the current fiscal year (April 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027), you may be eligible for a partial refund if you are eligible for the Food Ventures Program.
