Ruminant Livestock Specialist
Originally from Northern Ontario, Katie recently completed her Masters of Science in Animal Nutrition at the University of Guelph. During her masters, she focused closely on sheep and beef.
Her experience includes, but is not limited to, research trials, farm visits and monitoring of lambing ewes. As a master’s student, Katie managed a two-year research project that looked at determining fibre requirements for market lambs.
Katie has in-depth knowledge and passion for Canada’s sheep industry. She looks forward to assuming her position and working with the ruminant livestock industry in Nova Scotia.
