Thomas Harrington, BSc (Agr.), CCA
Thomas’ role at Perennia is primarily to help implement a new Agri-Environmental Program for Nova Scotia farmers in partnership with the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture and the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture. By working directly with producers and industry groups, this program will help to reduce environmental risk and improve the environmental sustainability of Nova Scotia’s agriculture industry.
Thomas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Dalhousie’s Faculty of Agriculture, where he majored in Integrated Environmental Management. After graduating in 2014, Thomas spent three years working in wild blueberry production and research in Nova Scotia. Before joining Perennia, Thomas worked on Prince Edward Island in precision agriculture product sales and support, focusing on machine GPS guidance systems and data management. Thomas is also a Certified Crop Advisor and has experience working with UAVs to collect crop imagery. Thomas is excited about this new role and is looking forward to working with the agriculture industry in Nova Scotia to reduce environmental risks.
