Food Scientist
Emily assists clients in developing food products with processes such as formulation development, commercialization scale-up, nutritional labelling and shelf-life determination. Emily has a deep understanding of Canadian food and beverage labelling requirements after taken many labelling courses with NSF International.
Emily graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor’s in Food Science in 2019. In her undergraduate program, she obtained experience in quality control, regulatory, research assistantship and product development. She brings a wide variety of skills and knowledge to the Perennia team. Emily also completed a Certificate in Business with the University of Guelph, which helps her understand business decisions, cost evaluation and marketing plans that may affect client decisions throughout the food product development process.
Emily’s home province is Ontario, but she is excited to live in the Maritimes and help support Nova Scotia’s food and beverage industry.
