MELANIE LECLERC, MSc.
Mélanie supports specialists in Truro and Kentville with field work and applied research in different crops including vegetables, berry and field crops. She assists with the planning and implementation of research trials, establishes and maintains experimental plots, collects and analyses data, and participates in report writing.
Mélanie’s projects vary from year to year and include Maritime forage and corn tests; pesticide efficacy; and crop tolerance in blueberry, cranberry, carrot, etc. She also manages the Truro summer students and looks after the demonstration garden in Truro.
Before she joined our team, Mélanie worked as a research assistant at Université Laval in Quebec and at the Nova Scotia Crop Development Institute. She has a BSc. degree from Université Laval and a MSc. Degree from Dalhousie University.
She is bilingual and translates documents and promotional material for the company in both official languages.
