David K. Schorr

David K. Schorr is Senior Manager, Transparent Seas, at WWF-US, and serves as Co-Chair of the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST). David's primary professional focus for much of the past decade has been on improving traceability and transparency in seafood supply chains. He helped envision and then organize the GDST, and has overseen multiple projects aimed at implementing digital, inter-operable traceability in fisheries and markets around the world. Also critical to this work has been David's involvement in guiding WWF and GDST engagements with governments and policy processes to advance these goals. David's previous roles have included leading WWF-US's work to combat illegal fishing, leading WWF's groundbreaking global advocacy to curb harmful fisheries subsidies, and directing WWF's involvement in international trade and investment policies. Prior to joining WWF, David practiced law in Washington, D.C., representing developing country governmental clients on international legal and political matters. A graduate of the Yale Law School and of Oberlin College, David has also taught as an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center and the American University Washington College of Law.Â
