Yuan Shi

Yuan Shi is the Principal of The51 Food and Agtech Fund, where she is responsible for ecosystem building, deal sourcing and due diligence, as well as leading portfolio management and acting as a representative of the fund for multiple stakeholders such as investors, entrepreneurs, accelerators, aligned academic partners and other venture capital funds and corporates. Yuan is an adjunct professor at UBC's school of business.  As a woman of color in STEM & finance and a first-generation immigrant, Yuan is actively involved in projects supporting underrepresented communities and has delivered social entrepreneurial initiatives in remote areas in Canada, Mexico, Cuba, China, and Spain.
