Lauren Peters

Lauren Peters is he sole representative of Nova Scotia on the Canadian Agricultural Youth Council, and also sits on the newly formed Nova Scotia Youth Council for Agriculture as the CAYC Representative. Lauren is also an active member of the Maritime Ag Women's Network and sits on many committees that share the goal of increasing public trust and agri-awareness within Atlantic Canada. 

Lauren has both worked and volunteered within the agricultural industry for over a decade. Although she did not grow up on a farm, she found a love and passion for this industry at a young age. Lauren graduated from Dalhousie University's Faculty of Agriculture's one of a kind International Food Business dual-degree program in May of 2019 and is now working for the Faculty. As Community Education Manager, Lauren leads the Faculty of Agriculture's efforts to raise the profile of agriculture in schools and communities in the region.
