CHARLES KEDDY

Chair

Charles Keddy is a first generation farmer operating C. O. Keddy Nursery Inc and Charles Keddy Farms along with his wife, Doris and son, Philip. He was chosen as an Outstanding Young Farmer of Canada in 1992. In 2002 the farm received a United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Montreal Protocol award for work on reducing the use of methyl bromide in Canada and is presently on the National Program Advisory Committee. Other awards include Nova Scotia Institute of Agrologists’ Outstanding Farmer of 2001.

Charles was chair of Agri Futures Nova Scotia and is Vice Chair of the Annapolis Valley Farm Land Trust. He is past Vice Chair of AgraPoint International (Perennia’s predecessor). Along with Philip, the Keddy’s have two daughters, Treasure and Amber
