Agriculture

Perennia’s production specialists have specialties covering horticulture, livestock, field crops and soils for both conventional and organic systems. They are available to work with producers in a number of ways.

In Nova Scotia, under development programs Perennia implements on behalf of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, our specialists develop and gather production information that support skills development and knowledge transfer to primary producers. A good number of these resources are available on our resources database at no charge and on our various commodity pages. These services are aimed at farmers producing crops or livestock with the goal to sell commercially. If you are new farmer or considering farming, please visit our New Farmer website.

All specialists also conduct development and applied research products in support of new crop development, new production systems, pest management strategies, and product efficacy.

Consulting services are also available to address specific client needs that do not fall under the development program criteria.
