Planning for the Future: Innovation and Growth in Nova Scotia’s Aquaculture Sector 

Please join the Honourable Kent Smith, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, for an update on Nova Scotia’s aquaculture sector. Joining him will be Ernie Porter, a Nova Scotia oyster farmer, who is leading innovation in the sector. Mr. Porter, President of Town Point Oyster and Co-founder of DockPort Ltd., will share his innovative approach to aquaculture farming. 

During the webinar the Department will share how it is supporting the responsible development of a low-impact and sustainable aquaculture industry. Staff will provide an update on our aquaculture planning initiatives.
