Seafood Accelerator Program
Perennia’s Seafood Accelerator Program supports production development and quality and food safety projects for Nova Scotian seafood and aquaculture companies. Funding will assist in ensuring current seafood products meet customer expectations, developing and implementing comprehensive food safety programs, and developing new value-added products.

Technical Advice
Free for Nova Scotia-based companies, this service provides industry with direct access to Perennia’s quality and food safety and product development specialists to answer your questions related to food safety, product quality, regulations and certification programs.
Our team is available to offer technical advice and targeted solutions to help industry overcome obstacles that are impeding business growth or market success of their products.
Here are some examples of things our specialists can help with, though it is not an exhaustive list:
- Problem-solving and trouble shooting
- Non-conformities, root cause analysis
- General questions related to preventive controls/prerequisite programs and/or HACCP development and implementation challenges
- Customer complaints relating to food quality, food safety, and shelf-life
- General quality & food safety or product development questions
This program is funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
