This event is being held as part of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program. The goals of the program are to encourage on-farm sequestration of carbon and reduction in greenhouse gases through the implementation of improved nitrogen management, enhanced cover crop adoption, and the normalization of rotational grazing. Rotational Grazing Webinar with Sarah Flack
Improving Pasture Productivity and Quality to Lower Feed Costs and Support Improved Livestock PerformanceÂ
Event Details
August 19, 2026
6:30PM – 8:00PM
Join us on pasture with Sarah Flack September 10, 2026!
Session Description
This session will include information on the basic guidelines of good grazing management and information on how perennial pasture plants grow both above and below ground, how that relates to soil health and how grazing management decisions create more productive and higher quality forages.Â
We’ll also discuss how to modify management when weather gets very dry, hot or there are high rainfall events. Once we have better pasture growth and quality, we can focus on methods to maximize pasture intake by the herd or flock to lower feed costs while using the livestock as the primary tool for improving plant and soil health.Â
