CanadaGAP

CanadaGAP is a GFSI-recognized food safety program developed to promote Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for Fresh Fruit and Vegetable suppliers. CanadaGAP have released version 9.0 of the Food Safety Manuals which took effect on April 1, 2021 for certification purpose. Perennia is partnering with Kim Best from Prospect Agri-Services to offer three virtual CanadaGAP training webinars outlining these new updates.

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

FEBRUARY 17-18 OR FEBRUARY 21-22

The February 17-18 or February 21-22 webinars will cover all requirements in the CanadaGAP manual version 9.0 released in 2021. This webinar is for businesses that are new to CanadaGAP, those that have only been certified for 2 years or less and for food safety representatives on certified farms that are new to the program.

FEBRUARY 15

The February 15th webinar will primarily review the main requirements of the CanadaGAP manuals version 9.0 released in 2021. Common corrective actions will be reviewed and tips to achieve 100% will be shared. This webinar is for businesses that have been certified to CanadaGAP for 3 or more years and the participant must have been part of previous audits.

SPEAKER INFORMATION:

Kim Best, Prospect Agri-Services. Kim Best is an Auditor and Trainer on the CanadaGAP food safety program and has been involved with the program since its inception in 2006. Kim has extensive agronomic experience from over 30 years of horticultural crop research and conducts many annual audits in horticulture as well as livestock commodities.
