Session Description
Join us for a hands-on field day focused on manure management and fall nutrient management! Hosted by Heather and Remo Luten of Fort Lands Farm, we’ll review current manure management guidelines, discuss spreader calibration and demonstrate new manure application technologies, including trailing shoes. We’ll also explore cover crops in a corn rotation and discuss nitrogen management considerations for fall-seeded triticale.

This event is being held as part of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program. The goals of the program are to encourage on-farm sequestration of carbon and reduction in greenhouse gases through the implementation of improved nitrogen management, enhanced cover crop adoption, and the normalization of rotational grazing.
