Session Description
Learnings from the Agriculture Weather Intelligence Initiative – Practical uses of weather stations in agriculture. A weather station is a measuring device which consists of different sensors to gather data such as air and soil temperatures, wind speed, relative humidity etc. In this session, Perennia’s Agri-Technology Specialist, Colin Farrell, will go over different kinds of data collected through the weather station network under the Farm Weather Station Assistance Program. He will use cross-commodity examples to illustrate the use of weather stations and data collected to help agricultural production.Â
