Session Description

Please join us for the July edition of the virtual wild blueberry meeting! In this mid-summer pre-harvest meeting, we will continue to provide wild blueberry crop updates and seasonal highlights to help prepare for the next busy field window: sprout disease management and crop harvesting.

We are also pleased to welcome two guest speakers who will discuss spotted wing drosophila (SWD) and sprout-year nutrient management. Matthew Peill, Integrated Pest Management Specialist, will provide a refresher on SWD identification and biology, discuss monitoring approaches and share early-season monitoring data. Jessica D’Entremont, Territory Sales Lead for Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with NutriAg will discuss nutrient functions and nutrient management programs for optimizing nutrient inputs in sprout fields.
