This event is being held as part of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program. The goals of the program are to encourage on-farm sequestration of carbon and reduction in greenhouse gases through the implementation of improved nitrogen management, enhanced cover crop adoption, and the normalization of rotational grazing. Nova Scotia Pasture Walk Series 2026

Session Description

Welcome back to the Nova Scotia Pasture Walks Series for 2026! We are excited to announce another great lineup of local beef and sheep producers from around the province to showcase their rotational grazing systems.

Similar to the last few years, we will walk and talk about overcoming challenges, grass management, animal health and welfare, technology and innovations, infrastructure, benefits and more. From Yarmouth to Cape Breton and from Lunenburg to Minudie, we’ll explore the diversity of systems throughout our province. Hear from new and experienced beef and sheep producers about their rotational grazing practices, how they used their OFCAF funds, and learn how to implement these practices on your own farm. We are excited to see you all out this year!
