Session Description

Join us this winter for a hands-on, commodity-inclusive workshop focused on building knowledge and expertise in crop nutrient management planning. Following the workshop held at the Wolfville Farmers Market in February 2023, this session will focus on demystifying the nutritional breakdown of amendments generated on farm (ex. Manure, compost), with the goal of more precise nitrogen application year after year. Following a short presentation, attendees will get to dive into pre-prepared sample scenarios to come up with a suitable nutrient strategy for the target commodity. This workshop will be held at four different locations across the province. Look forward to an interactive, hands-on session focused on utilizing local resources and applying them to real on-farm examples. Bring your favourite calculator, and please register ahead so we can plan for the appropriate topics to be discussed!
