Session Description

Join us in covering the basics every new entrance beekeeper should know in Nova Scotia. This session does not replace recommended training for new beekeepers. We will cover information on ATTTA, the Nova Scotia Beekeepers' Association (NSBA) and the role of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture (NSDA) within the beekeeping sector. We will also give an overview of the beekeeping rules and regulations within Nova Scotia, discuss the Nova Scotia beekeeping industry, basic information on purchasing equipment and bees and options to receive beekeeping training in the Maritimes.
