Grapevine Trunk Diseases: Causes, Impacts and Management Techniques
Wednesday, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
April 30, 2025
Session Description
Grapevine trunk diseases (GTD) have been one of the most harmful threats to grapevines over the past 30 years and remain a major concern for growers in Nova Scotia. These diseases affect not only mature vineyards but also young vines and replacements, leading to stunted growth, reduced vigor, decreased productivity and shortened lifespan, which result in significant economic losses.
In this webinar, we will explore the causes and mitigation strategies for GTD, with expert guidance from Dr. José Ramón Úrbez Torres, the “Vine Doctor.”Â
