The goals of the program are to encourage on-farm sequestration of carbon and reduction in greenhouse gases through the implementation of improved nitrogen management, enhanced cover crop adoption, and the normalization of rotational grazing. Session Description
 These pasture walks are a continuation of our 2024 series throughout Nova Scotia through the On-Farm Climate Action Fund. Come out for an insider look into local farms and community pastures throughout the province. All livestock producers and agronomists are encouraged to join! Â
Are you interested in learning more about rotational grazing and improving pasture quality for your grazing livestock? The pasture walk extension topics of 2025 will include soil health, rotational grazing, frost seeding and pasture rejuvenation, fencing talks and more! Please note that this is just the first half of our Pasture Walks for 2025 and there will be more to come in August through to December!Â
For every pasture walk you attend, your name will be included in a draw that could win you pasture focused prize valuing over $500.00 including a bag of red clover. The draw will happen at our last pasture walk in December! The more pasture walks you attend the more chances you have to win!Â
