Session Description
Join Perennia’s protected crop specialist Talia Plaskett for a morning tailgate meeting focused on soil health in protected spaces! The On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program is hosting two demonstrations in the Annapolis Valley: one focusing on the impact of split nitrogen application on tomato yield through the growing season, and the other showcasing cover crop mixes under two water management regimes. Summer cover crop implementation is more intensive compared to the off-season, and a comparison of misting equipment and frequency will help guide successful implementation and adoption. Both practices are vital in maintaining resilient, productive soils well into the future, and have a lot to offer for high value greenhouse spaces.Â
Registration
Registration is required. The registration deadline is September 23, 2024. There is no cost to attend.
